I have been trying to shoot images in Black & white but the digital results are no where near as beautiful as the film variety.
Obviously shooting in RAW format means the image is saved in color and one has to fiddle about in various imaging programs to get the monochrome effect but for me working with Lightroom ( I’ve also tried aperture and bibble) I can’t seem to get the tone and mood captured on a roll of Kodak TRI-X case in point the images taken by Peter Eavis found on flickr.
If anyone out there can show me images taken on his/her digital rangefinder that macth the B&W images taken by Peter in tonal range, contrast and grain I would be grateful!
